1097 Days of Love

Long before today, I wondered why this is only our 3rd anniversary? I thought we have been together for more than 3 years...but the calculation told me, yes, it's only 3 years. So I've decided to exaggerate about the length of time, by saying that it's already 1097 days of us being together, instead of the number of years, which seems to be so short compared to a life time.

Some 1407 days ago (not exact because I don't remember when did we first met), we met each other at KC cafe when I was trying to find committee members for 博营. It was definitely not love at the first sight, nor the 100th sight. I guess it was the understanding and the knowing of each other that drew our hearts closer.

1097 days ago, without much considerations (love is all about forgetting considerations), we handed our hearts to each other, not knowing when it actually started, not knowing when it will end and where it will take us to. With feelings of sweet and sour bits, we started the journey of two is better than one, or two become one, together.

Some time between September 2007 and June 2008, I remember so well that we often fought so hard over tiny things in lives. We both have thought of letting it go, thinking that love shouldn't be about fighting and shouting and tears. Cold wars and harsh text messages were the weapons used, instead of hugs and cuddles. Like all wars in the world, they eventually stop, with victory of one side or defeat of another. Luckily, ours was a victory for both.

Two years ago, we celebrated our 1st anniversary at Victoria Station, PJ. That was a night before we departed to Kelantan. Simple and short, but memorable. =)

Last year, we spent the day at a camp. Sounds boring, but it was important for both of us. =)

I am always amazed at the speed time flies, as it will be our 3rd anniversary again, tomorrow.

What have changed over these days? I think romance gets lesser, and comfort fits in more....you are more like a companion of life than a shoulder to lean on......more like the best friend in life than the lover at night. Which is better? Is this a change for better? I wouldn't know and I couldn't judge, because I cannot foresee the future. All I know is, I am happy and contented at this moment. =)

Let us just hope that there are many more days to come and we are able to share some parts of our lives together. Happy Anniversary!

p/s: why blog in English after so long? Haha, I feel English is more sentimental and romantic in this sense. And Mr Lee won't understand it as well as in Chinese. @.<
